“Keramikblech” can be used for:
- permanent thermal load up to 1250 °C, temporarily up to 1700 °C
- thermal-mechanical and thermal-dynamical load
- thermal shocks with heating and cooling rates up to 25.000 K/min
- thermal-chemical load
- structures with a good corrosion resistant in liquid aluminum
- structures with an acid resistant according to DIN 51102 - 1
The applications of CMCs like “Keramikblech” are versatile
- burner technology, e.g. flame tubes, static mixers, porous burners
- power engineering, e.g. supporting structures for high - temperature solar energy
- kiln engineering, refractories, e.g. electrically isolating plates, edge protection, chip guard for heating elements
- aluminum casting, e.g. protection tubes and plates, conveying tubes, troughs, covers for conventional insulation
- hot gas guiding, hot gas fan, lining
The innovative oxide-oxide ceramic matrix composite “Keramikblech” is outstanding when it comes to replacing thermal loaded conventional metal structures by thin-walled and complex lightweight ceramic structures. The results are structures with a higher lifetime and a damage tolerant behavior.
