Energy technology

“Keramikblech” is used in innovative areas of energy technology. The main emphasis is on the development of structures for high-temperature solar energy in cooperation with the DLR, Stuttgart. The supporting structures have been tested at the Plataforma Solar de Almeria, Tabernas (Spain).

Supporting structure to carry catalyst coated SiC-Ceramic foams used as solar absorbing heat exchanger structures, project “SOLARSYS”. Dimensions of the high-temperature solar absorber:
D = 920 mm, L = 780 mm
The supporting structure used to carry the ceramic foams is made of 12 Segments for the inlet area (front) and 12 segments for the outlet area. The CMC Type SvM1514 worked under operation temperatures of 800 °C
