What does „Keramikblech“/„sheet ceramic“ mean?
“Keramikblech” is an oxide / oxide ceramic matrix composite. The standard materials were developed by the company Walter E.C. Pritzkow Spezialkeramik. Since 2001 in close cooperation with Fraunhofer Institut für Silicatforschung improved oxide / oxide ceramic matrix composites based on the fiber 3M™ Nextel™ 610 were developed.

All this oxide/oxide ceramic matrix composites based on fabrics with continuous ceramic fibers in the system Al2O3-SiO2 and matrix materials in the system Al2O3-SiO2-ZrO2.

With these materials we want to satisfy our users who are searching for materials with the positive characteristics of metals like damage tolerance and thermal shock resistance and the positive characteristics of ceramic like temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
